Inverness Gymnastics Club are thrilled to confirm that they have registered to attend the World Gymnaestrada in Dornbirn, Austria next Summer.
The World Gymnaestrada is the leading event for display gymnastics on a global scale, and one which the club is proud
to have attended as part of the Great British Delegation since 1991. The week long festival of gymnastics will see a team from Inverness perform group displays across city venues, as well as take part in larger group performances.
This four yearly event is a highlight in the club's display schedule and we are excited to have been able to open this opportunity to a significantly larger number of gymnasts in comparison to previous years. In setting the eligibility criteria, the club coaches and committee feel this recognises the growth in numbers and performance ability that has been seen across the club's disciplines since the previous event in 2015.
Following confirmation of the team at the end of this month, the gymnasts will start a schedule of training and fund-raising in preparation for travelling to Austria next July.
